Ho Hum

Today was a bit of a ‘Meh’ day. I’m feeling really despondent and unmotivated with my mission. I need to find that fiery spark that fueled me only a few weeks ago.
It’s funny, but when we are on fire like that, we really can’t imagine being any other way. We think, “This is it! I’m REALLY doing it this time!! There’s no turning back now!!” So where is the turning point, and why does it repeatedly sneak up on us?
I haven’t lost it. My motivation is low but i really need to dig deep.

The ‘Healthy’ Choice

I didn’t blog last night for two reasons.
1. We were out late after seeing Alice In Wonderland at the pictures [Awesome movie!] And…
2. My cals were like, doubled, because of a really,really stupid mistake!
My food yesterday was great. And because i knew we were going to the movies, i went to the supermarket to buy some healthy nibblies so i didn’t have the movie popcorn, but could still mindless “movie eat” that we have to do, y’know?
So i bought some sugar snap peas, some lite butter microwave popcorn, and some soy snacks.

Lost ‘N’ Found

Thanks for everyones awesome support. You guys are awesome! :o)

I weighed in today with a gain of 2.5 kilos. [5.5lbs]. How did i do that in a week? I changed how i was eating. I ate at night [ignoring my 8:30pm cut off time]. I ate more carbs [I try to stick to one obvious serve a day. Bread, pasta etc] and i didn’t do any intentional exercise. So apparently newly lost weight can be newly found again, 3 fold! So what am i going to do about it?

Hot Diggity!

This week is a right-off! It’s been quite a hectic and emotional week. Alix isn’t in very good condition, physically. She has a nasty cough and infected toes from wearing/sleeping in cold wet shoes & socks night after night on the streets.
Although she’s been mostly sleeping since she got here, due to the comfort of a nice warm, soft bed rather than a hard, cold park bench. And i’ve been making sure that baby gets all the nutrients he needs!
I’m taking her to the doctor on Wed to get checked out [inside and out] and i’ll make sure she gets the medical attention she needs.

Blah

I didn’t post yesterday because it was a [VERY] hectic day and by the time the day was over i just wanted to crawl into bed.

My oldest daughter, Alix, got kicked out of where she was shacking up due to some serious dramas [Namely drugs >:o/ ] and we had to borrow some money to buy a train ticket immediately, before she disappeared [as she tends to do] And we had to arrange it for her. We were worried she wouldn’t get on the train, but she did & we’ll be driving into Sydney tonight to pick her up.

So that was what my day was consumed with, but my food wasn’t very good anyway.

As Long As It Loses!

This week i’m sporting a modest loss of .1 of a kilo [.2lbs]. My body really doesn’t want to crack that 170kilos! I’ll have to show it who’s boss! [but not today apparently coz i went over my cals]

Today was a bit of a lazy day. The weather is starting to cool down a bit, getting ready for Autumn. And today was spent mostly hiding under a warm doona while watching tele.
I did exercise though, i walked Rose to school.

Caloric Wii

Today my 17yo astray pregnant daughter told me she’d like us to raise her baby coz she’s just not ready to settle down and lose her freedom [Duh!].
I told her at the beginning that i’d like to set her up in a little flat [in our town, not 12 hours away where she is] and teach her to be a mum. But that’s not for her apparently. She’s a street kid, because she likes that lifestyle. No bills, no responsibilities, no-one to answer to etc.
So now she’s said she’d like to come down to stay with us, have the baby, leave him here [signing over all legal rights] and go back to what she does.
As much as it hurts that she doesn’t want better for her life, i’m glad she wants better for her baby than that life.

Spotty Boxing

Sorry about being gone for a couple of days without a word, I haven’t been well. I have itchy spots all over me, i’ve been super tired and i’ve had an upset stomach [from the download area]. I didn’t lose my appetite though, funnily enough! I haven’t been naughty, i just haven’t burnt anything off :o/

So, to try to make up for the past 2 days inactivity, today i did a walk we call ‘The hill walk’. It’s an hours walk and uphill for 40mins of that. Probably just a little heart rate raiser for a skinny pinny.

Breaking Up With KFC

I think there might be something wrong with our scales. I got on them this morning and i’d gained 2 kilos [about 6 pounds] overnight! NO WAY! John said “Maybe your muscle is getting heavier”……Nice, but at my weight, i don’t think so! Maybe one of the kids got them wet or something, coz i know i didn’t gain 2 kilos overnight. Weird, just weird.

[More moaning] After that boxing/baseball yesterday, i woke up sooooo sore this morning! My shoulders, back and inner thighs are making me feel like Rambo lol
Tonight i went to box again but i was just too sore, so i only did 5 minutes and then took the kids and dog for a long walk instead :o) Still bloody sore though!

What Dimension Is This Again?

I didn’t get to sleep until 6am this morning [long story, and it's not a saucy one unfortunately! lol] and i only slept till just after 9am coz i had to be at a friends place for coffee and a chin wag at 10am. Today was a bit vague, and this is going to have to be very short.

Here’s what i ate today:
Breakfast:
A banana, some soy crisp thingies and two caramel coffees.
Lunch: Baked beans and eggs on grainy toast & a Pepsi Max.
Dinner: Beef and mushroom flavoured rice with crumbed chicken, a light muffin, an orange and a coffee.

I have used 1710 out of my net daily budget of 2000 calories and have 290 calories remaining. 23% of the calories are from fat, 17% from protein, 60% from carbs and 0% from alcohol.
I had 6 glasses of water and did some boxing and had a good go at baseball.

Today’s Triumph: Even though i’m dead on my feet, i still had an awesome exercise session!
