I’m Lovin’ It!

Today i didn’t feel too good. Feels like a head cold coming on. So how does one reason with that? Good excuse to sit around and crochet a blanket for an upcoming grand child who’ll be born in Winter :o)
I thought i’d forgotten how to do it. I made one a while ago, during the 71 days [Of hell!] i gave up drinking. It was/is really nice for a first attempt. [Here it is, if you want a gawk.]
But after a messy middle, the new blanket should look nice too. Now that i’m a Nana, i should do more Nana things i spose.

A Bite Of This & A Nibble Of That..

Today was one of those nibbley days where you just want to eat everything but you aren’t hungry, y’know?
I did mostly ok till dinner, when we had hot chip sandwiches & battered fish for dinner. But i still went over quite reasonably on my calories and fat - I can [and will] balance that out tomorrow.

Most of today was spent at Jasons school, talking about his inability to deal with conflict. He gets upset [sad] easily when he feels he’s being mis-treated. [dunno where he gets it, we are all a bunch of larakins!] Lucky he goes to a tiny school with 12 kids.

Bouncing Around

I gained .3 this week, but if it hadn’t of been for me getting lost on my Blair Witch walk this week, i’m sure it would have been much worse!

I could sit here and give lame excuses as to why i’m being slack with posting/doing the right thing to my body, but i’m not going to [Other than i was at a gold medal winning Olympians engagement party, yaaaay! *] We’ve just been in a bad spot..with the booze. But both John and i have seriously re-committed to each others and our own efforts to get healthy and keeping our No.1 weight causing problem out of the house.

Keeping Resolutions

Yesterday i had a go at making a healthier biscuit/cookie. I found a peanut butter cookie recipe for Jason and i to make together [He desperately wanted to cook something with Smarties!] i replaced the flour with wholemeal and used light peanut butter, butter and a home grown egg. I would have replaced the sugar too but someone nicked off with the Equal from the pantry, that i use just for baking. How rude! The bickies were soooo yummy! I made the tragic mistake of eating one (i usually just eat the mixture ;o) and it was so yummy, i had to make the kids eat the rest just so i wouldn’t eat any more [after i ate 6 though].

Ho Hum

Today was a bit of a ‘Meh’ day. I’m feeling really despondent and unmotivated with my mission. I need to find that fiery spark that fueled me only a few weeks ago.
It’s funny, but when we are on fire like that, we really can’t imagine being any other way. We think, “This is it! I’m REALLY doing it this time!! There’s no turning back now!!” So where is the turning point, and why does it repeatedly sneak up on us?
I haven’t lost it. My motivation is low but i really need to dig deep.

The ‘Healthy’ Choice

I didn’t blog last night for two reasons.
1. We were out late after seeing Alice In Wonderland at the pictures [Awesome movie!] And…
2. My cals were like, doubled, because of a really,really stupid mistake!
My food yesterday was great. And because i knew we were going to the movies, i went to the supermarket to buy some healthy nibblies so i didn’t have the movie popcorn, but could still mindless “movie eat” that we have to do, y’know?
So i bought some sugar snap peas, some lite butter microwave popcorn, and some soy snacks.

Lost ‘N’ Found

Thanks for everyones awesome support. You guys are awesome! :o)

I weighed in today with a gain of 2.5 kilos. [5.5lbs]. How did i do that in a week? I changed how i was eating. I ate at night [ignoring my 8:30pm cut off time]. I ate more carbs [I try to stick to one obvious serve a day. Bread, pasta etc] and i didn’t do any intentional exercise. So apparently newly lost weight can be newly found again, 3 fold! So what am i going to do about it?

Hot Diggity!

This week is a right-off! It’s been quite a hectic and emotional week. Alix isn’t in very good condition, physically. She has a nasty cough and infected toes from wearing/sleeping in cold wet shoes & socks night after night on the streets.
Although she’s been mostly sleeping since she got here, due to the comfort of a nice warm, soft bed rather than a hard, cold park bench. And i’ve been making sure that baby gets all the nutrients he needs!
I’m taking her to the doctor on Wed to get checked out [inside and out] and i’ll make sure she gets the medical attention she needs.

Blah

I didn’t post yesterday because it was a [VERY] hectic day and by the time the day was over i just wanted to crawl into bed.

My oldest daughter, Alix, got kicked out of where she was shacking up due to some serious dramas [Namely drugs >:o/ ] and we had to borrow some money to buy a train ticket immediately, before she disappeared [as she tends to do] And we had to arrange it for her. We were worried she wouldn’t get on the train, but she did & we’ll be driving into Sydney tonight to pick her up.

So that was what my day was consumed with, but my food wasn’t very good anyway.

As Long As It Loses!

This week i’m sporting a modest loss of .1 of a kilo [.2lbs]. My body really doesn’t want to crack that 170kilos! I’ll have to show it who’s boss! [but not today apparently coz i went over my cals]

Today was a bit of a lazy day. The weather is starting to cool down a bit, getting ready for Autumn. And today was spent mostly hiding under a warm doona while watching tele.
I did exercise though, i walked Rose to school.
